The Mosselrace is the annual sail regatta that is organised every August. August 14th, 2010 Mosselrace This sail regatta is an event for all sailingyachts and traditional sailingships. The main goal of this regatta is promoting the sailing on the Oosterschelde in de neighbourhood of Yerseke, and making a lot of fun for the whole family. The regatta is open for all types of ships; racers with or without rating, there are several classes for ships with or without spinnakers. At the end of the race is there is a special prize-giving around the theme Mussel. For all the competitors and their crews there is a free diner and a party with live music. Also the transport (by bus) from the harbour to the partycentre is free. Last year we had 150 competitors. The dock dues in the night before and the night after the race in the marina of Yerseke are free for competitors. Maillist
